Winery history Thierry Massin

A family domaine started by Michel Massin's generation. Thierry and his sister Dominique created the label in 1977, and the estate is now also carried forward by the next generation. The story blends family tradition with technical updates to showcase the terroir of the Côte des Bar.

Production philosophy

An approach that combines tradition and innovation: vineyard practices aimed at reducing chemical inputs, carefully calibrated planting densities, and parcel-by-parcel vinifications in the winery with gravity pressing, temperature control and careful attention to minimal intervention. The estate also declares its commitment to Haute Valeur Environnementale certification.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located in Ville-sur-Arce, within the Côte des Bar. Soils of Kimmeridgian and Portlandian origin, composed mainly of clay and limestone, which promote balanced ripening and contribute to the character of Pinot Noir.

Awards and recognitions

Numerous medals and recognitions: among others, a silver at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2022, medals from the Concours des Vinalies and the Vignerons Indépendants, as well as repeated mentions, star ratings and reviews in the Gault & Millau, Dussert‑Gerber and Guide Hachette guides.
