Founded in the 1920s by Giuseppe Cocci Grifoni in Contrada Messieri (Ripatransone). In 2006 his grandson Giuseppe relaunched the estate under the Villa Imperium name.

Terroir and vineyards
Located in Ripatransone in the heart of Piceno (province of Ascoli Piceno, Marche). The estate states nearly 250 acres of land in total, about 100 planted with vineyards; the Rosso Piceno Superiore is produced in the municipalities of Ripatransone and Offida (20 ha declared for the vineyards of this label).
