Winery history Weingut Weegmüller

The Weegmüller family, originally from Zurich, settled in the Pfalz region in the 17th century; the estate’s winemaking is documented from 1685. Over more than eleven generations the property has developed across the hills of Haardt/Neustadt, maintaining a strong local tradition while renewing itself over time with new winemaking approaches.

Production philosophy

Respect for the land and its characteristics: the winery aims to enhance the soils and climate of the Mittelhaardt by producing wines that express the terroir. It combines local tradition with modern winemaking and aging practices, using wood and also amphorae for some labels.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in Neustadt-Haardt, in the Mittelhaardt sector of the Pfalz, the estate's vineyards are planted on Buntsandstein, lette, loess and silty gravel soils. The estate farms parcels in many local Lagen, including Herrenletten, Bürgergarten, Herzog and Mandelring, cited as key sites for its wines.
