The story
The Barceló house originates from the Barceló family's activity in the Dominican Republic; the brand's beginnings are linked to Julián Barceló's arrival from the island of Mallorca and the founding of Barceló & Co. in the early 20th century. Over time the brand expanded its range and focused on export, strengthening its international presence and developing premium lines (including the Imperial series) and expressions with particular aging.
Production philosophy
The brand emphasizes quality from raw material to bottle: use of sugarcane juice from its own plantations, control of the production process, blending and aging designed to express soft and rounded characteristics. In recent years it has also launched sustainability projects and organic production initiatives.
