Beefeater is a well-known London gin producer, famous for its London Dry expression and for a range that includes premium and flavored expressions. It continues to distill in London (Kennington) following historic recipes and traditional processes.
The origins trace back to the Chelsea Distillery; James Burrough purchased the distillery in 1863 and, experimenting with various recipes, created the product that would become Beefeater. The brand is historically identified from the late 19th century (often cited as introduced in 1876). Production progressively moved and expanded to the current Kennington site. In 2005 the brand joined the Pernod Ricard group, which launched an investment and range relaunch program.
Production philosophy
Combines tradition and modernity: preserving the historic recipe and the connection to the spirit of London while innovating with premium and flavored variants. Emphasizes botanical quality and urban production as part of its identity.
