The Bootlegger brand (Bootlegger 21) originated within Prohibition Distillery, a project launched in Roscoe, New York in 2009. The facility — housed in a historic building in the Catskills town — developed a range of spirits (vodka, gin, bourbon) celebrating the aesthetics and narrative of the Prohibition era. In 2021 Prohibition Distillery announced a commercial rebrand to Do Good Spirits, while retaining the Bootlegger line as its commercial label.
