Producer history Botran
The brand is named after the Botrán family, who immigrated from Spain and became active in spirits production in Guatemala in the 20th century. The Botrán family were among the founders of the historic Industria/Licorera Quezalteca (today part of the Industrias Licoreras de Guatemala group). Over time the brand developed dedicated aging centers (including Casa Botran) and helped establish Guatemalan rum on international markets through the introduction of aged ranges and expanded exports to Europe and other markets.
