The story
CÎROC was created by Jean‑Sébastien Robicquet; the first formulation of the vodka dates to 2003. The brand is produced in the South-West of France (production site at Maison Villevert, Salles‑d'Angles) and is part of an internationally marketed portfolio. Since 2007 the brand experienced a strong commercial boost thanks to a marketing partnership with Sean "Diddy" Combs; subsequently ownership and commercial arrangements were formalized through agreements with the Diageo group, which holds the trademark.
Production philosophy
To combine French winemaking tradition and distillation savoir‑faire with a contemporary approach to luxury: to highlight the fresh, fruity character derived from using grapes, offering a clean, elegant vodka intended for cocktails and celebratory occasions.
Territory
Produced in the South-West of France, in the Charente region (Cognac area), with raw materials sourced from French viticultural terroirs.
Production method
The vodka is produced from French grapes transformed into wine, which is then subjected to multiple distillations. The official procedure includes four column distillations and a fifth final distillation performed in a custom copper pot still at Maison Villevert.
Distillation
Multiple distillation (five distillations): four in columns and a fifth final distillation in a copper pot still at Maison Villevert.
