The story
The company was founded in Forcalquier in 1898 (originally as Distillerie de Lure). During the 20th century it underwent several names and ownership structures; since 1990 it has operated under the name Distilleries et Domaines de Provence, expanding its range with products such as Pastis Henri Bardouin, the absinthes Absente and Grande Absente and Gin XII. Production and the range were consolidated thanks to the harvesting and use of local aromatic herbs from the Lure mountain.
Production philosophy
To enhance Provençal botanical heritage, combine local tradition with artisanal distillation practices, and offer products that reflect the character of Provence through herbs, citrus and spices.

At the Salon International de l'Agriculture 2024: Farigoule de Forcalquier Gold Medal; Pastis Grand Cru Henri Bardouin Silver Medal.
Production method
Production based on artisanal distillation: use of traditional alembics, macerations and separate distillations of botanicals for final blending (a documented practice especially for some gins). For absinthe, distillates and essences of wormwood and aromatic plants are used.
