Malteco started as a project of the Savio group (Marco Savio / Savio S.r.l.). Initially production was entrusted to Licorera Quezalteca in Guatemala; after changes of ownership and production reorganizations, production and aging were consolidated and moved to Panama, where blending and finishing are carried out at local facilities (Bodegas de America S.A. / Caribbean Spirits Panama Distillery).
Production philosophy
Position the line as rums defined by elegance and personality, respecting Hispano-American traditions (Guatemalan style) and working with Maestros Roneros to preserve consistency and quality of the blends.
