The current company operating under the name Maraska was formed from the reorganization of local activities after World War II: the official registration as a state entity took place on 1 November 1948 under the name 'Distillery and liquor factory "Maraschino"' and the name was changed to 'Maraska' on 7 February 1949. Today Maraska d.d. continues the local tradition in the production of Maraschino and other products based on marasca cherries.
