Born as a microbrewery project with a brewpub in Civitella di Romagna, Mazapégul was founded by partners Gianluigi Bandini, Daniel Caggianese and Mattia Cecchini. The company takes its name from a Romagnolo folkloric character and established itself locally in the craft beer scene, later expanding production toward an experimental-style gin.
