Production method

For the vermouths the base is wine (Erbaluce di Caluso and partially fermented Moscato must) aromatized with a blend of botanicals; the Riserva expressions use controlled aromatizations and infusions to preserve aroma and structure. For the amari the work is based on infusions of herbs and spices in a hydroalcoholic solution and final assemblages according to traditional recipes.

The historic recipe behind the brand dates back to 1837, when Tumalin Bartolomé Baracco de Baracho developed the aperitif base used by the court kitchen. Today Riserva Carlo Alberto is produced and distributed within the activities of Compagnia dei Caraibi, a company that has preserved and brought these traditional recipes to the contemporary market.
