Production method
Juniper is processed by hydroalcoholic infusion; distillation takes place in small-capacity copper pot stills at family facilities (Maschio Marcello Distilleria), with subsequent distillations/rectifications to obtain a concentrated 'juniper spirit'. The final spirit is then blended (cut) with alcohol from Mentana wheat, filtered and left to rest before bottling.
Distillation
Hydroalcoholic infusion of juniper berries for a period of maceration, distillation in small-capacity copper pot stills (approximately 100–250 L), successive rectifications/fractionations to obtain a concentrated juniper spirit, then cut with Mentana wheat alcohol and natural filtration before bottling.
Ageing
Post-distillation resting at ambient temperature before bottling; the producer indicates a variable period depending on the season (around one month in summer, longer in winter, up to about two months) and subsequent development also in bottle.

The River (River Mentana) project was born within the Maschio family's activities, a dynasty with a long tradition of spirit production in the Triveneto area. The brand is part of Rime Craft Distillers' path, initiated by the newest generation (Michela Furlanis and her children) to enhance local raw materials and regional stories through a gin inspired by Venice and the area between the Cansiglio plateau and the Lagoon.

To tell the Venetian territory through an artisanal product: selection of local and historical ingredients (Cansiglio juniper, Mentana wheat), handcrafted processing and attention to the 'history' of the alcohol base as a distinctive element of the gin.
