Producer history Tanaka
Founded in 1789 (Tanaka Shuzoten, often cited as "Tanaka 1789"), the company has over two centuries of nihonshu production in Miyagi Prefecture. In 2018 the collaboration with François Chartier began, introducing an enological-style blending approach to create the TANAKA 1789 x CHARTIER labels (e.g. Blend 001 and Blend 002) and subsequent releases such as PAVILLON of BLEND 001 (2019).
