Founded in 1945 by brothers Giancarlo and Lanfranco Toschi in Vignola, the company began with the processing of cherries preserved in spirit and gradually expanded its range to include syrups, candied sour cherries, traditional liqueurs (including Nocino di Modena) and a line of products for gelato and pastry. Toschi's Nocino has been part of the range since the 1960s and its preparation follows traditional infusion and aging practices. Over the years the company has also developed commercial presences abroad and dedicated divisions (e.g. Toschi USA/UK).
