Production method

Whisper uses molasses-based raw materials; distillation is carried out mainly in continuous column stills. Blends are aged in ex-bourbon barrels (American oak) in a tropical environment and subsequently reduced with water to drinking strength; some expressions are imported and finished/bottled in Europe.

Producer history Whisper

According to available sources, the Whisper brand was launched in the second half of the 2010s (references agree on a start around 2014–2015) by two young French rum enthusiasts who developed the project in collaboration with the local Antigua distillery (Antigua Distillery) and with Barbadian producers for some cuvées. Initial distribution occurred through European retailers and wine merchants; in 2021 the Vedrenne group appears to have acquired the brand.

To offer simple, accessible and recognisable rums of English tradition, highlighting Caribbean origin and ageing in ex‑bourbon casks to obtain soft, vanilla‑led profiles suitable for both tasting and cocktail use.
