Distillation and production

Production method

Based on a high-purity grain spirit, with selection and use of premium botanicals; produced in small batches and distilled in copper pot stills at specialised facilities (currently City of London Distillery).

Distillation

Small-batch production with traditional copper pot still distillation; botanicals are selected and combined for each expression and the final product is obtained from a neutral grain distillate.

Producer history Whitley Neill

Whitley Neill was founded by Johnny Neill (a descendant of the Greenall/Whitley distilling family) in 2005. The brand was acquired by the Halewood group (now Halewood Artisanal Spirits) and, after production at various sites, distillation was moved to the City of London Distillery (January 2021) to reinforce its 'London Dry' credentials and small-batch production.

Production philosophy

A pursuit of flavours inspired by travel and family tradition: combining classic gin botanicals with exotic ingredients from around the world to produce smooth, aromatic expressions that work well in cocktails and simple serves.
