Historic estate in the Oltrepò Pavese, known for its long-standing tradition with Pinot Noir and for producing sparkling wines by the Traditional Method and Charmat.
The family-owned Giorgi di Vistarino estate has been tied to the land of Rocca de' Giorgi for centuries. In the 19th century the family introduced Pinot Noir to these hills, beginning a winemaking tradition that has been passed down to the present generation. The estate combines historic features with a modern cellar that is also open to visits and direct sales.
Production philosophy
The estate aims to showcase the noble grape variety—particularly Pinot Noir—interpreting it with attention to terroir, biodiversity and quality. It produces both still and sparkling wines, in keeping with the Oltrepò's hilly vocation.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Rocca de' Giorgi, in the Oltrepò Pavese. The estate reports a total area of over 800 hectares, with portions dedicated to woodland and arable land and approximately 200 hectares under vine; about 100 hectares are reserved for Pinot Noir.
