Marzadro Distillery

The Marzadro Distillery was born almost 70 years ago (1949) in the small village of Brancolino di Nogaredo (TN) by a family in its third generation, which has handed down the art of making grappa managing to export it even beyond national borders.

The years following the Second World War left Trentino destroyed by conflicts and poor, people were almost forced to abandon their land to try their luck elsewhere; so it was that Sabina Marzadro found work at the house of a deputy in Rome.

After a few years he returned to his native town and began to help his brother Attilio realize his dream: to dedicate his life to the distillation of grappa obtained from marc. Even in those days there was no shortage of raw material, the courtyards of the winegrowers were full of pomace, most of the time left to evaporate in the air.

Sabina managed to have a still built by a famous local craftsman, and in 1949 the first wagons loaded with pomace and the first customers arrived in the courtyard of the Marzadro house. In a short time the turnover became important and too big to manage, so they decided to build a larger plant with more stills and weighbridges.

Today in the company we find Stefano, Andrea and Anna Marzadro, the second generation; they have inherited a wealth of precious experience and great peasant wisdom built with many efforts and sacrifices, passion and tenacity.

The Marzadro distillery has more than 70 employees and is a major player on the market thanks to its various range of preparations, grappas, alpine creams, infusions and liqueurs, which carry the whole soul of Trentino within them.
