Hennessy House
Maison Hennessy is synonymous with Cognac; the largest producer in the world, with 50 million bottles a year, which represents more than 40% of the global market production.
It was founded as a liquor store by Richard Hennessy an Irish naturalized French officer in 1765, on the land of Cognac given to him by King Louis XVI. Later, in 1870, his son Maurice began producing the first Hennessy X.O. cognac, initially served only to the most illustrious family friends; his fame soon began to make its way around the world.
For its production, a blend of one hundred "eaux-de-vie" (spirits - spirits) was created and aged for over three decades, this has given the cognac an important robustness, a great personality, with complex and unique flavors and aromas. This makes it perfect for lovers of good cognac and the most demanding palates.
Cognac Hennessy is a distillate of great value, produced with wine from Ugni Blanc grapes from the 4 Grand Crus: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Bordieries and Fins Bois. The production process involves the use of large copper stills, and the aging times can vary from a minimum of 4 years up to several decades (the most prestigious reserve dates back to 1800). In this way an excellent cognac is obtained that is practically unsurpassed, loved and blessed in all latitudes.
The Maison is still managed by his direct descendants, now in its sixth generation.
