The Cabernet-Merlot Alto Adige DOC "Merus" from Tiefenbrunner is a red wine of restrained elegance, resulting from the blend of Cabernet and Merlot produced in Alto Adige. In the glass it shows a concentrated ruby color. On the nose there are notes of ripe red fruits, moderate herbaceous hints and a touch of delicate spice; the aromatic profile remains clean and well defined. On the palate it is balanced, with present but smooth tannins and freshness that supports the sip without intrusiveness, leading to a saline, discreet finish.

Versatile in pairing: it goes well with dishes based on white and light red meats, semi-aged cheeses and Mediterranean cuisine; it also suits mushroom dishes or savory sauces. Serve at around 16–18°C to appreciate its balance and aromas. Suitable for those seeking a red of measured character, fit for everyday drinking as well as informal occasions, with good drinkability.
