The Carignano IGT Isola Dei Nuraghi - Cardanera by Argiolas is a vibrant and rich expression of the Carignano grape variety, grown on the evocative island of Sardinia, a territory known for its incredible biodiversity and the richness of its wine heritage. The Argiolas winery, located in the heart of Sulcis, is one of the most important and esteemed wineries on the island, celebrated for its ability to enhance native varieties through winemaking techniques that combine tradition and innovation.

"Cardanera" is part of the line of wines that Argiolas dedicates to exploring the potential of Carignano, a vine that in Sardinia finds an ideal terroir to best express itself, thanks to the warm and windy climate and the sandy soils that particularly characterize the region of Sulcis. These environmental conditions contribute to giving the wine a notable aromatic intensity and a soft tannic structure.

This Carignano IGT Isola Dei Nuraghi has a deep and inviting ruby red color. On the nose, "Cardanera" offers a rich bouquet of aromas, with predominant notes of red and black fruits, such as blackberries and plums, enriched by spicy nuances and a light touch of Mediterranean herbs, reminiscent of the Sardinian scrub. The vinification aimed at preserving the freshness and authenticity of the fruit is accompanied by a short passage in wood, which helps to round out the tannins without overpowering the aromatic profile of the wine.

In the mouth, Carignano IGT Isola Dei Nuraghi - Cardanera reveals itself to be a medium-bodied, balanced and harmonious wine. The liveliness of the acidity and the softness of the tannins create a pleasant texture that envelops the palate, leaving a persistent sensation of ripe fruit. The finish is long and satisfying, with a return of the spicy and fruity notes perceptible on the nose.

Ideal for accompanying a variety of dishes, from those based on red meat to more elaborate preparations of blue fish and typical dishes of Sardinian cuisine, Cardanera is a wine that stands out for its versatility and for its ability to represent the typicality and the uniqueness of the Sardinian terroir.
