Porto Fundador 75cl - Astucciato - Real Companhia Velha

The Fundador Port from Real Companhia Velha presents an immediate, enveloping character: it wears an intense ruby robe with darker shades and offers on the nose aromas of ripe fruit and jam, with hints of plum, dried figs and a touch of cocoa and sweet spices. On the palate it is warm and well balanced, with a sweetness that is present but balanced by a soft tannic texture; the sip is full, rounded and with a pleasant persistence recalling notes of stewed fruit and caramel.

This is a Port suitable both as an after-dinner drink and as an accompaniment to structured desserts: try it with blue cheeses, dark chocolate or dried-fruit tarts. The presentation box makes it an elegant choice for a gift; serve slightly chilled, around 12–14 °C, to appreciate its freshness and aromatic depth.
