More questions

The Vdf Faustine Blanc from Domaine Abbatucci is a true expression of elegance and refinement, reflecting the uniqueness of the Corsican terroir. Produced with a rigorous selection of organic grapes, this cuvée is primarily composed of Vermentino, which in Corsica is known as Biancu Gentile, giving the wine its characteristic freshness and aromatic liveliness.

On the nose, the Vdf Faustine Blanc opens with vibrant notes of white flowers and white-fleshed fruits, followed by a light touch of aromatic herbs and marine minerality, reminiscent of the Mediterranean breeze. On the palate, the wine is balanced with a lovely acidity leading to a clean and persistent finish.

Ideal as an aperitif, this white wine pairs beautifully with light fish dishes, seafood, and fresh cheeses. Its elegance and structure also make it perfect for accompanying a refined dinner, establishing itself as a superb choice for lovers of complex and aromatic white wines.

The story
The Abbatucci family has been cultivating vineyards in Corsica for generations. In the 1960s Antoine Abbatucci began collecting and planting threatened indigenous grape varieties, creating an important ampelographic collection. Today the estate is led by Jean-Charles Abbatucci, who has converted the estate to biodynamic practices and continues to promote local varieties and historic vineyard parcels.
Production philosophy
The winery's approach is centered on biodynamic viticulture and on respecting the land as a living organism: the use of biodynamic preparations, working according to lunar rhythms, integrating animals into the estate's ecosystem, and experimental practices such as traditional grafting, irrigation with brackish water on experimental plots, and even experiments using music to stimulate the plants.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in the Taravo Valley in southern Corsica, the vineyards lie on low-to-medium altitude granite soils and are characterised by Mediterranean influence and Corsican maquis.
