The Aberlour 18 Years Whisky, presented in an elegant 50cl gift box, is a prestigious distillate that embodies the mastery and tradition of the Scottish Aberlour distillery. Aged for eighteen years in Oloroso sherry casks and American bourbon barrels, this single malt whisky is renowned for its perfect balance and depth of flavor.

On the nose, it reveals intense aromas of ripe fruits, sweet spices, and a hint of chocolate. The palate is enveloped by rich flavors of plum, candied orange, and notes of toasted malt, all harmonized by an undertone of vanilla and a touch of smokiness, which extends into a long and smooth finish.

This whisky is ideal for enthusiasts looking for a meditative drink to savor slowly, to capture every facet of its complexity. Aberlour 18 Years is not only a high-quality gift but also a splendid addition to any collection of excellent spirits.

The story
The Aberlour distillery was founded by James Fleming in the late 19th century (operations on site began in 1879 with first recorded productions around 1880). Ownership changed several times in the following decades; today the brand is managed by Chivas Brothers, part of the Pernod Ricard group. Throughout its history Aberlour has developed expressions matured in bourbon and sherry casks, and has released special editions and distillery bottlings.
Distillation
Distillation in pot stills (batch): pairs of wash stills and spirit stills as the traditional setup for single malt.
Ageing
Maturation in casks: many expressions combine aging in ex-bourbon casks (American white oak) and in sherry casks (Oloroso) — double cask maturation practices; A'Bunadh is matured exclusively in Oloroso butts and bottled at cask strength.
