The story
The Longo-Liebenstein family has been tied to the region for centuries. The estate is now led by Anton Felix von Longo-Liebenstein, who relaunched estate wine production after decades of operating primarily as grape suppliers. The property is centered around historic family buildings, and the winery has resumed its own modern production, combining family tradition with contemporary viticultural and winemaking practices.
Production philosophy
Biodynamic cultivation and sustainability-focused practices, cellar work aimed at elegance and control of fermentations to produce natural wines, often unfiltered, with particular care taken to reduce histamine. The approach combines respect for the soil, minimal intervention and careful attention to labeling and packaging details.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate is located in Egna/Neumarkt, in southern Alto Adige. The vineyards cover approximately 20 hectares, at elevations between 240 and 1,050 metres, on calcareous and bedrock soils typical of the areas around the Trudner Horn and the foothills of the Dolomites.
Awards and recognition
Recognized and appreciated by industry figures and publications, with editorial acknowledgements such as mentions in wine guides; also cited as «Aufsteiger des Jahres» in the Vinum Weinguide and covered by Gambero Rosso and other outlets.
