The story
The winery’s story began in 1824, when Giuseppe Alliata set out to make wine at Villa Valguarnera in Bagheria. Over time, the venture developed into a wine business rooted in Sicily.
Production philosophy
The winery highlights Sicily’s territories and grape varieties, selecting grapes according to vineyard suitability and focusing on quality and the expression of terroir.
Terroir and vineyards
Oniris’s technical sheet specifies western Sicily and an altitude range of 50–300 metres. The winery also owns estates in different parts of the island.
