The story
Multi-generation wine-producing family; the Frank family has been producing wine in Herrnbaumgarten since 1724 (according to the estate).
Production philosophy
Hand work in the vineyards, manual harvest and selection; gentle cellar handling. Certified sustainable, all wines produced vegan; promotes biodiversity (cover crops) and resource-/CO2-saving practices.
Terroir and vineyards
Located in Herrnbaumgarten in the Weinviertel (Lower Austria). Soils: tertiary calcareous sediments, calcareous marl and thick loess deposits; Pannonian-continental climate (warm/dry summers, cool nights). Vineyards surround the village, allowing short transport to the winery.
