The Etna DOC Bianco "Contrada Cottanera" in Magnum format (1.5 litres) by Cottanera is a wine that represents the excellence and specificity of the Etna terroir, offering testimony to the viticultural richness that this unique volcanic area in Sicily can express. Produced by the Cottanera winery, known for its commitment to valorising native vines and producing wines that faithfully reflect the character of the territory, this Etna Bianco is a tribute to the complexity and minerality conferred by the volcanic soils.

The wine is typically made from Carricante, a native white grape variety from eastern Sicily, particularly appreciated for its ability to convey freshness, acidity and a marked minerality. Carricante, grown on the slopes of Etna, benefits from the unique climatic conditions and the richness of the volcanic soils, which together help create wines of great depth and longevity.

In the Magnum format, Etna DOC Bianco "Contrada Cottanera" presents itself as an ideal choice for special occasions, offering the possibility of appreciating the evolution of the wine over time thanks to the greater volume which favors optimal ageing.

Visually, the wine shows a straw yellow color with greenish reflections, typical of white wines produced with Carricante grapes. On the nose, aromatic notes of white pulp fruit emerge, such as green apple and pear, together with hints of citrus fruits, white flowers, aromatic herbs and a distinctive mineral vein, reminiscent of flint or chalk, a clear reference to the soil of origin.

In the mouth, the Etna Bianco "Contrada Cottanera" is lively and well structured, with a pronounced acidity that gives freshness and a long aromatic persistence. The minerality is clearly evident, balanced by a delicate fruitiness and floral notes, which together create a complex and satisfying tasting experience.

This wine is particularly suitable for accompanying fish and seafood dishes, light appetizers, white meats and fresh cheeses. Its structure and freshness make it versatile and capable of enhancing a vast range of flavours.
