Il Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Le Vaglie della Cantina Santa Barbara è un vino bianco raffinato che rappresenta una delle eccellenze enologiche delle Marche. Questo vino è ottenuto esclusivamente da uve Verdicchio, coltivate nelle suggestive colline dei Castelli di Jesi. Nel calice, si presenta con un colore giallo paglierino brillante e riflessi verdognoli, suggerendo una freschezza che si ritrova poi all'assaggio.

Al naso, Le Vaglie offre un bouquet aromatico complesso e intrigante, con note floreali di biancospino e acacia, che si combinano armoniosamente con sentori fruttati di mela verde, pesca e agrumi, e sfumature erbacee e minerali. In bocca, il vino si distingue per la sua struttura decisa e la piacevole acidità, che gli conferiscono una notevole persistenza e una chiusura sapida e leggermente mandorlata.

L'etichetta danneggiata non compromette la qualità del vino, che resta intatta, permettendo comunque di apprezzare pienamente tutte le sue caratteristiche. Based in an ancient monastery with a historic barrel cellar.
Winery history
The name derives from the village of Barbara; the production facility is housed in an ancient monastery. The winery reflects a long-standing relationship with the local area, drawing on its historical traditions and integrating them with modern production projects.
Production philosophy
Our work is based on respect for the land, meticulous attention to grape quality, and a balance between promoting indigenous varieties and experimenting with grape varieties and techniques that can engage the international market.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the hills surrounding the town of Barbara and extend to Serra de' Conti, Montecarotto, Arcevia, Morro d'Alba and Cupramontana. The soils are described as having a higher clay content and being rich in water, in a belt between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines.
Awards and recognitions
Multiple national and international awards; named "Winery of the Year for Central Italy" in the Guida Top 100 Migliori Vini italiani 2025. Several of the estate's wines have received recognition from specialized publications and wine guides.
