The RossoBastardo Umbria IGT Rosso - Rehoboam, produced by the renowned Cesarini Sartori winery, captures the essence of the Umbria region, famed for its lush land and passion for viticulture. This wine comes in an extraordinary format: the Rehoboam bottle, which holds a full 4.5 liters of wine, ideal for special occasions or for wine enthusiasts who wish to age a larger bottle for an evolution of flavor over time.

RossoBastardo is primarily composed of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Sagrantino grapes, a blend that offers a complex and well-balanced structure. On the nose, vibrant notes of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, are distinguished, enriched by spicy hints of black pepper and a light touch of vanilla due to barrique aging.

On the palate, the wine expresses itself with a robust yet harmonious tannic presence, supported by a freshness that invites a second sip. The aromatic persistence is remarkable, leaving a pleasant sensation of red fruits and spices on the palate.

RossoBastardo Umbria IGT Rosso is perfect for accompanying rich meat dishes like stews, roasts, and game, but it also pairs equally well with aged cheeses. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 18-20°C, and due to its richness, a brief decanting before serving can be beneficial.

This wine not only speaks of its quality through its taste but also through its presentation, making it an ideal gift or a prestigious addition to any wine collection.

Winery history
The estate was established through the commitment of the Cesarini Sartori family: Luciano Cesarini, Giuseppe Cesarini and Fiorella Sartori left previous careers in the late 1990s to return to rural life and focus on viticulture in Bastardo. Luciano applied his engineering expertise to the design of a highly automated, precisely controlled winery, intended to manage the winemaking processes with accuracy.

It also develops circular-economy projects and applied research in collaboration with universities and a start-up dedicated to adding value to vine residues.
