The Primitivo Rosato IGT from Cantina A Mano presents a fascinating and distinct expression of the Primitivo varietal, known for its robustness and intensity, even in the rosé version. This wine stands out for its vibrant cherry red color, which foretells an intense and enticing olfactory palette.

On the nose, the Primitivo Rosato IGT surprises with notes of fresh red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, and a light touch of pomegranate, enhanced by floral nuances of rose and violet. This aromatic bouquet is the result of careful winemaking, where the brief contact of the skins with the juice allows the extraction of color and aromas without excessive tannins.

On the palate, the wine is expressive and well-balanced. The lively acidity complements the structure of the wine, providing freshness and drinkability. The aromatic persistence is notable, leaving a pleasant sensation of cleanness and a subtle mineral note that closes the sip.

Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with light appetizers, fish-based dishes, or vegetarian cuisine. The freshness and versatility also make it suitable for medium-structured dishes like risottos and pasta with vegetable-based sauces.

The Primitivo Rosato IGT from Cantina A Mano is a wine that captures the essence of the Puglia region with a modern interpretation of the native grape, offering a satisfying and surprisingly refined sensory experience. It is a wine to be discovered and loved, perfect for those wishing to explore the various facets of Primitivo in a less conventional form.

Winery history
The project began with the meeting of Californian viticulturist and winemaker Mark Shannon and Italian manager Elvezia Sbalchiero: they met in Sicily and shortly after moved to Apulia to begin their winemaking activity. The winery is known for its artisanal approach and its focus on manual work in the vineyard and winery; many producer profiles date the brand’s founding to the late 1990s.
Production philosophy
Artisanal production with hand harvesting and minimal intervention in the vineyard and cellar; strong focus on local varieties and on conveying the transparency of the territory. The winery declares practices aimed at preserving the natural character of the blends and carries a self‑certification "Vegan friendly" for some lines, avoiding invasive winemaking techniques.
