The Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru Jeroboam from Domaine Arlaud represents an exceptional example of mastery in the production of Burgundy wines. This wine, produced in one of the most prestigious Grand Cru designations in the Gevrey-Chambertin area, is renowned for its extraordinary complexity and elegance. The vines situated on limestone and clay soils impart a distinctive minerality that harmoniously blends with notes of mature red fruits, spices, and a light toastiness derived from aging in French oak barrels.

The Jeroboam bottle format is particularly appreciated by connoisseurs and collectors, not only for its impressive presence but also for the optimal evolution of the wine it favors. Benefiting from a meticulously monitored winemaking process, Domaine Arlaud's Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru exhibits a well-balanced tannic structure, capable of evolving magnificently for many years to come. It is ideal for special occasions and pairs beautifully with refined dishes such as roasted red meats or game and medium-aged cheeses.

Domaine Arlaud – Winery in Borgogna (Côte de Nuits, Morey‑Saint‑Denis)

Discover the story and wines of Domaine Arlaud.

A family estate in the Côte de Nuits, based in Morey‑Saint‑Denis, known for its terroir-driven Pinot Noirs and for adopting organic and biodynamic practices.
Region: Borgogna (Côte de Nuits, Morey‑Saint‑Denis)
Country: Francia
Founded: 1942
Grapes: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, Gamay
Estate focused on the Côte de Nuits, based in Morey‑Saint‑Denis. Approximately 15 hectares spread across multiple appellations Vineyard parcels in four Grand Crus named by the domaine: Clos de la Roche, Clos Saint‑Denis, Charmes‑Chambertin and Bonnes Mares Transition to organic practices began in the 2000s and biodynamic certification. Production focused on Pinot Noir, with a range of Chardonnay-based white wines and wines such as Aligoté and a passetout‑grain.
Winery history
The property originated from the union of the Arlaud and Amiot families and developed over time through targeted acquisitions and family management across generations. The family consolidated its presence in the Côte de Nuits by preserving a historic 14th-century cellar for ageing, and with the generational transition to Cyprien Arlaud the estate has grown to include numerous local appellations and Grand Cru parcels.
Production philosophy
The estate has progressively reduced chemical treatments and has adopted organic and biodynamic farming practices to enhance the expression of each individual terroir. In the vineyard, manual and natural interventions are favored; in the cellar, fermentation is encouraged by native yeasts, with controlled pressings and bottling without fining or filtration to preserve the wine’s identity.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are situated in the Côte de Nuits around Morey‑Saint‑Denis and in neighbouring communes, with parcels that also include Grand Cru sites. These soils—ranging from clay and marl to the area's characteristic limestone—contribute to the stylistic diversity of the domaine's cuvées.
