The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG Riserva "Zanna" Magnum from the Illuminati winery represents a refined example of excellence within the landscape of Italian red wines. This prestigious wine comes from the lush hills of Teramo, a region particularly suited to the production of Montepulciano thanks to its unique microclimate and fertile soil, which impart distinctive characteristics and extraordinary complexity to the wine.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane Riserva "Zanna" is produced only in the best vintages when the grapes reach perfect maturity. This wine is the result of careful selection that begins in the vineyard and continues in the cellar with aging in oak barrels for at least 18 months, followed by further maturation in the bottle.

The result is a wine with an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections that evolves elegantly with the passage of time. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, chocolate, and vanilla, followed by hints of tobacco and leather as it matures. On the palate, "Zanna" reveals itself as robust, full-bodied, and harmonious, with well-balanced tannins and a long, enveloping persistence.

This Magnum format is particularly suitable for passionate collectors or for serving on special occasions, ensuring an even more intriguing evolution of the wine over time. Perfect to pair with red meat dishes, game, and aged cheeses, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG Riserva "Zanna" Magnum from Illuminati is a prestigious choice for any wine lover who wishes to explore the intensity and complexity of one of Italy's finest reds.

Over the generations ownership and management have remained within the family; in the 1960s Dino Illuminati established the headquarters in Controguerra and expanded the vineyards in the historic area known as Zanna. Today the winery remains a family-run enterprise with multiple generations involved.
Production philosophy
Production focused on quality and a connection to the land: artisanal work in the vineyard and cellar, respect for local agricultural practices, and care of the processes from vine to bottle to express the identity of the Colline Teramane.
