Description

The Syrah DOC Gaëlle Biologico of Tenuta Rapitala is born in the enchanting territory of Sicily, a land where the Mediterranean climate and volcanic soils give the grape variety character and depth. This Syrah, cultivated following the principles of organic farming, best expresses the typicality of the variety with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by spicy notes and enveloping hints of black pepper.

The aging, which takes place in selected wooden barrels, gives the wine elegant structure and soft tannins, balancing freshness and persistence. On the palate it reveals itself to be full, with a long and harmonious finish. An excellent companion for meat dishes, roasts, and aged cheeses, the Syrah Gaëlle offers an intense and authentic sensory experience, representing a biological excellence of the Sicilian territory.

Winery history

The estate was created through the reconstruction undertaken by Hugues Bernard conte de la Gatinais and Gigi Guarrasi after the earthquake in the Valle del Belice. Founded in 1968, the winery has grown by blending indigenous and international grape varieties, maintaining a production approach focused on elegance and a close connection to the territory, now carried forward by the winemaking team listed on the winery's website.

Production philosophy

To showcase Sicily’s diverse micro-terroirs through a sustainable, organic approach to viticulture, with the aim of combining the richness of the Mediterranean landscape with the elegance of French savoir‑faire.
