Katzrin Chardonnay from Yarden is a white wine from the volcanic region of the Golan, in northern Israel, a territory known for its mineral-rich soils and temperature variations that add complexity to the grape varieties. This Chardonnay, carefully vinified in respect of tradition and modernity, stands out for its balance between freshness and structure.

In the glass, it shows a bright straw yellow color, while on the nose it offers aromas of white-fleshed fruit, such as green apple and pear, enriched by delicate floral notes and light hints of butter and vanilla due to moderate aging in wood. On the palate, it is round, with a pleasant sapidity and a persistent finish that invites another sip.

Perfect with fish dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses, Katzrin Chardonnay is a refined example of Yarden's ability to express the unique character of the Golan through the Chardonnay grape variety.

Winery history
The Yarden label was born within the Golan Heights Winery, founded by local agricultural communities. The producer has played a central role in the development of modern Israeli viticulture and in promoting the Golan's quality wines on the international stage.
Production philosophy
The approach prioritizes expression of the terroir: high‑altitude plantings, detailed study of individual vineyard blocks, and targeted winemaking to highlight the identity of each parcel. The estate carries out separate harvesting and vinification of the lots to preserve terroir characteristics and select the best grape clusters for top lines such as Yarden.
Terroir and vineyards
Vineyards mainly located on the Golan Plateau and in the Galilee region: basaltic volcanic soils, significant diurnal temperature variation, snowy winters and varying altitudes that contribute to wines with freshness, structure and mineral character.
Awards and recognitions
The group has received numerous international recognitions; among the awards cited in public sources is recognition from Wine Enthusiast.
