Braulio Alpino Amaro from Bormio, produced by the historic Peloni distillery, stands out for its unique character deeply rooted in the traditions of the Valtellina region. This prestigious bitter is the result of expert maceration of alpine herbs picked from the mountains around Bormio, where the particular microclimate lends an exceptional aromatic intensity to the plants.

The production process begins with the manual selection of herbs, including gentian, rush, tansy, and yarrow, all known for their digestive and tonic properties. These herbs are then left to macerate in pure alcohol, followed by a period of aging in oak barrels which enhances the amaro's amber color and adds complexity to its bouquet.

On the nose, Braulio Amaro reveals balsamic and slightly spicy notes, with hints of pine and moss that directly recall its alpine origin. On the palate, the taste is rich and complex, featuring a pleasant bitterness balanced by a subtle aftertaste of sweet licorice and mountain honey.

Traditionally served as a digestive, Braulio Alpino Amaro is best enjoyed at room temperature or slightly chilled, to fully enhance all its intricate flavors. It also makes an excellent base for innovative cocktails that desire a touch of the mountains.

Each bottle of Braulio Alpino Amaro encapsulates the pure essence of the Italian Alps, making it not just a liquor, but a true sensory journey into the highlands of Bormio. A must for lovers of herbal distillates and those in search of a high-quality, distinctive, and historically rich bitter.
