The Valpolicella Amarone Classico by Clementi is a red wine that deeply embodies the winemaking tradition of the Veneto region. Produced with selected grapes of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara, this Amarone Classico undergoes the appassimento process, drying the grapes for several months to concentrate the flavors and sugars.
Once vinified, the grapes produce a wine of extraordinary richness and complexity. The color is an intense and deep red, almost impenetrable. On the nose, the Valpolicella Amarone Classico by Clementi releases a vigorous bouquet with notes of ripe dark fruit, such as plums and cherries, complemented by hints of spices, chocolate, and a slight touch of tobacco. The wood, skillfully used during aging, imparts refined accents of vanilla and black pepper.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and enveloping, with a well-balanced tannic structure that promises excellent longevity. The rich fruit and spice flavors are well-integrated with a surprising freshness that balances the palate. The finish is long and persistent, marked by a pleasant aromatic complexity that invites another sip.
This Amarone is ideal for accompanying intense dishes such as braised meats, meat stews, or aged cheeses.
