The Cru Moulin-à-Vent "L'Éolienne" by Pierre Ferraud & Fils represents one of the highest expressions of Gamay, coming from one of the most prestigious crus of Beaujolais. Moulin-à-Vent is renowned for producing wines that combine elegance, structure and aging capacity, thanks to its unique terroir, characterized by manganese-rich soils and a favorable microclimate. "L'Éolienne", which takes its name from the historic wind turbines of the region, is a wine that embodies the strength and finesse of its place of origin.

This wine is carefully produced with Gamay grapes selected from old vines, which guarantee a concentration of aromas and flavors. The winemaking aims to enhance the varietal characteristics and terroir of Moulin-à-Vent, with a traditional fermentation followed by aging in wooden barrels which adds complexity and rounds out the tannins, without overpowering the fresh expressiveness of the fruit.

Visually, "L'Éolienne" presents itself with a deep ruby red color, with violet reflections that underline its youth and vitality. On the nose, the bouquet is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and blackberries, floral notes of rose and peony, and spicy accents of pepper and liquorice, which reflect the richness of the Gamay and the particularity of the Moulin-cru à-Vent.

In the mouth, the wine offers a solid yet elegant structure, with finely woven tannins and a lively acidity that perfectly balances the richness of the fruit. The red fruit flavors blend with earthy and mineral nuances, typical of the terroir, leading to a long and harmonious finish, with a persistence of spicy and fruity notes.

The Cru Moulin-à-Vent "L'Éolienne" is a wine that lends itself beautifully to ageing, capable of evolving and gaining further nuances of flavor and aroma over the years. It is ideal in combination with rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, game and mature cheeses, where its structure and complexity can be fully appreciated.

Through "L'Éolienne", Pierre Ferraud & Fils offers an authentic and profound expression of the Moulin-à-Vent cru, celebrating the winemaking tradition and innovation of Beaujolais, and presenting wine lovers with an exemplar that is at the same time a tribute to the past and a promise for the future.
