The Bombino Nero Castel del Monte DOCG - Veritas - Torrevento is a refined example of rosé wine that embodies the purity and elegance of Bombino Nero grapes, native to the Apulian region. Produced by the acclaimed Torrevento winery, located near the historic Castel del Monte, this wine is a tribute to the rich local terroir that imparts a distinctive character and a strong identity to every glass.

Veritas is distinguished by its brilliant rosé color, with reflections that oscillate between coral and salmon pink, immediately inviting tasting. On the nose, delicate and persistent aromas of fresh red fruits like strawberry and raspberry open up, with a slight hint of rose and herbal notes adding complexity to the aromatic bouquet.

In the mouth, freshness is the undisputed protagonist; the acidity is well balanced and harmoniously blends with the softness of the fruit. The structure is light but persistent, with a clean finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of fresh fruit and a slight spicy note.

The Bombino Nero Castel del Monte DOCG - Veritas is ideal as an aperitif, but its versatility makes it equally accommodating with light appetizers, fish dishes, and fresh cheeses. Serve it slightly chilled to enhance all its aromas and flavors.

This wine is not just an expression of the Apulian territory but also an example of how modern winemaking can respect and enhance local varieties, bringing an authentic and highly pleasurable tasting experience in every bottle.

A varied regional portfolio: Castel del Monte, Primitivo and Salento areas.
Winery history
The company's history begins with the Liantonio family. In the post-war period—after the purchase of the ancient monastery in Contrada Torre del Vento—the company began to develop its production; from the 1990s it achieved commercial recognition and promoted the Nero di Troia grape with flagship labels such as Vigna Pedale. Company and industry sources cite key milestones linked to the return from migration, the 1948 acquisition of the tenuta and the entrepreneurial growth of the following decades.
Production philosophy
It combines tradition and innovation to enhance Puglia's indigenous grape varieties, focusing on sustainable practices in both the vineyard and the winery. The company declares its commitment to environmental, economic and ethical-social sustainability and adopts certifications and standards for quality and food safety.
Terroir and vineyards
Operating in the Alta Murgia at the foot of the UNESCO site Castel del Monte, it sources its grapes from three main areas of Puglia: the Castel del Monte area, the Primitivo/central area and southern Salento.
Awards and recognitions
The winery's labels have been honored with significant awards: Vigna Pedale has received, among others, the Tre Bicchieri award and international medals. The winery has also received a Gambero Rosso award for sustainable viticulture.
