Tommasi’s Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG represents a jewel of Venetian viticulture, expressing all the character and tradition of one of Italy’s most renowned wineries. This wine is the result of a meticulous grape selection process, based primarily on Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes, hand-harvested from the historic vineyards located in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica area.

The distinctive appassimento technique, which involves drying the grapes for several months, gives this Amarone its unique concentration. After the drying process, the grapes undergo a slow fermentation followed by a long ageing period in large oak casks, which lends the wine further complexity and aromatic nuance.

In appearance, Tommasi Amarone Classico shows a deep ruby red colour, developing garnet hues with age. On the nose, it reveals intense notes of ripe fruit such as cherries and plums, alongside hints of sweet spices, chocolate and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with a perfect balance between power and elegance. The tannins are firm yet well integrated, and the finish is long and persistent, with an aftertaste recalling spices and dried fruit.

Tommasi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is ideal paired with rich, flavourful dishes such as braised meats, stews and aged cheeses. It is also perfect as a meditation wine, and it is recommended to decant it a few hours before serving in order to fully appreciate its complexity.

With its rich and enveloping profile, this Amarone is a true treasure for lovers of robust, structured wines, embodying Italian winemaking excellence around the world. Enjoy the opulence and majesty of this extraordinary wine from Tommasi, which continues to captivate palates across the globe.
