Il Rugè Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOC 2019 by Crissante Alessandria is a sublime example of how Barbera, a native variety of Piedmont, can express itself with elegance and complexity. Produced in the renowned Asti hills, this red wine is the result of careful grape selection, followed by controlled fermentation and aging in wood, which enriches its profile.

Intense ruby red in color, the Rugè 2019 reveals on the nose a varied bouquet of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, and a slight touch of vanilla. On the palate, it stands out for its solid but harmonious structure, where the typical acidity of Barbera is perfectly balanced with soft tannins and remarkable taste persistence.

Ideal to enjoy with robust dishes of Piedmontese cuisine, such as agnolotti del plin or braised meats, this wine is capable of evolving beautifully in the cellar for several years. A true treasure for lovers of quality Italian wines, seeking a rich and rewarding sensory experience.
