Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes Blanc is a white wine of exceptional quality, produced in the renowned Châteauneuf-du-Pape region in the south of France. This area is best known for its robust red wines, but the white wines produced there, such as Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes Blanc, are equally expressive and sought after for their complexity and refinement.

The wine is a blend of several traditional white varieties from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region, such as Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Clairette, and Bourboulenc. This combination of grape varieties helps to create an extraordinarily harmonious wine, characterized by a perfect balance between body, acidity and aromas.

At sight, the Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes Blanc has a brilliant straw yellow color, with golden reflections. The olfactory bouquet is complex and seductive, offering floral and fruity notes, among which aromas of white peach, apricot, wild flowers and a subtle note of aromatic herbs and sweet spices stand out, thanks also to the elegant aging in barrique which never overpowers the primary scents but integrates them harmoniously.

On the palate, the wine reveals its richness and complexity, with a silky texture and layers of flavors that reflect the nose, enriched by a distinctive minerality that leads to a long and persistent finish. The excellent acid structure ensures freshness and gives the wine great aging potential.

Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes Blanc pairs beautifully with a wide range of dishes, from those based on fish and seafood, to chicken and white meat preparations, up to more exotic and spicy dishes. It is also a wine that can be appreciated on its own, as an aperitif, to fully reveal its complexity and elegance.

Winery history
The name and label date back to the late 19th century: the history of Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes is traced to 1880. Over the course of the 20th century the bottle and image gained international recognition; today the estate and winemaking are managed by Maison Ogier, which has developed the project by enhancing the Prieuré and its underground cellars.
Production philosophy
Practices focused on respecting the soil and the quality of the fruit: manual harvesting, parcel-by-parcel selection, increasing use of organic practices and a shift to locally produced natural fertilizers. In the winery, vinification prioritizes respect for the expression of the terroirs, with aging in concrete and wood depending on the cuvée.
Terroir and vineyards
Located at the gateway to the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the estate works with a mosaic of soils typical of the appellation: galets roulés, safres, limestone fragments, sands and red clays. The Prieuré, historically linked to the estate, houses the cellars and offers direct access to the surrounding vineyards.
