The Falerno del Massico DOP "Collecastrese" from the Villa Matilde Avallone estate represents an excellent interpretation of this historic wine from Campania. The Villa Matilde Avallone estate, with its long winemaking tradition, is committed to enhancing the unique characteristics of the Massico terroir.

This wine has an intense ruby red color, with garnet reflections that highlight its maturity. On the nose, it offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with intense aromas of ripe red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by subtle accents of sweet spices, tobacco and vanilla, which give depth and complexity to the aromatic profile.

In the mouth, Falerno del Massico DOP "Collecastrese" reveals a robust structure and harmonious softness, with well-integrated tannins and a lively acidity that gives balance to the sip. The finish is long and persistent, with notes of compote fruit and spices that linger pleasantly.

This wine is the ideal companion for Mediterranean cuisine, such as roast meat, game, mature cheeses and dishes rich in flavour. Thanks to its complexity and robustness, it is also perfect to be enjoyed alone, in moments of relaxation and conviviality.
