The Langhe Nebbiolo Amphorae DOC from Cascina Corte is a pure and authentic expression of the Nebbiolo variety, cultivated in the idyllic hills of the Langhe, one of the most prestigious wine regions of Piedmont. This wine is a tribute to tradition and innovation, matured in terracotta amphorae that enhance its naturalness and the integrity of the fruit.

From the first glance, the wine presents a bright ruby red color, with a slight transparency typical of Nebbiolo. On the nose, intense aromas of red fruits such as cherry and raspberry are perceived, combined with floral notes of rose and violets, enriched by a light hint of spices and damp earth, adding complexity.

On the palate, the Langhe Nebbiolo Amphorae is vigorous and persistent. The tannic structure is well balanced by the typical acidic freshness of the variety, while aging in amphorae ensures a soft and harmonious texture. The aftertaste is pleasantly long, with hints of red fruits and a slight mineral note.

This wine is ideal for accompanying dishes from the Piedmontese cuisine like "tajarin al tartufo" or "brasato al Barolo". It is also perfect with aged cheeses and red meats. Its aging potential makes it an excellent candidate to be stored in the cellar for a few years, thus allowing it to develop further nuances.

Cascina Corte, with its environmentally respectful approach and focus on quality, has created a Nebbiolo that represents a true expression of the Langhe terroir. A gem for lovers of traditional Piedmontese wines, yet with an eye towards innovative techniques.

Small organic winery in the San Luigi hills of Dogliani (Langhe), known for Dolcetto di Dogliani, some amphora-aged labels, and an offering that also includes Barolo and local wines.
Region: Piemonte
Country: Italia
Founded: 2001
Grapes: Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Freisa, Pinot Nero, Riesling, Nascetta
Certified organic winery. Situated on the San Luigi hills, near Dogliani. Production focused on Dolcetto di Dogliani, with DOC/DOCG bottlings and an amphora line. The estate also offers hospitality spaces and tasting rooms.
Winery history
The property, already shown on an 18th-century map as "Cascina Corte", was purchased by the managers in 2001. After years of abandonment, the building and the vineyards were restored: vineyard work and the construction of a winery began in the early 2000s. The estate applied for organic certification in 2002 and received it in 2005; the family moved permanently into the farmhouse around 2008.
Production philosophy
The winery's approach prioritizes organic vineyard management, respect for the land, and minimal winemaking to showcase local grape varieties. In addition to stainless-steel vinification, the winery uses oak ageing and experiments with amphorae; the goal is minimal cellar intervention and bottles that express the Langhe.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located on the San Luigi hills near Dogliani, in the heart of the Piedmontese Langhe. The landscape is typically hilly and lies close to renowned areas such as Monforte d'Alba and the Dolcetto di Dogliani production area.
