The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG Riserva "Zanna" by Illuminati is an elegant and robust red wine that masterfully highlights the essence of Abruzzese viticulture. Produced only in the finest years, this wine represents the pinnacle of quality from the Illuminati winery, a historic company dedicated to upholding local traditions with a keen eye on innovation.

The Riserva "Zanna" is made from Montepulciano grapes cultivated on the hilly slopes of Teramane, an area known for its ideal climate that contributes to the wine’s unique complexity and structure. After manual harvesting, the wine undergoes an extended maturation period in French oak barrels, followed by additional refinement in bottles. This process, meticulously overseen by the winery's expert enologists, allows the development of intense aromas and a rich palate.

In the glass, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane Riserva "Zanna" presents a deep ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose reveals notes of ripe fruit such as plums and cherries, enriched by hints of vanilla, dark chocolate, and a slight spicy touch. On the palate, the wine is robust yet harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and a long finish that gives way to a pleasantly bitter aftertaste.

Ideal as an accompaniment to rich dishes like roasted red meats, game, and aged cheeses, the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Colline Teramane DOCG Riserva "Zanna" is a wine that improves with aging, promising to evolve beautifully for many years to come. An excellent choice for wine enthusiasts seeking a product of unparalleled depth and territorial integrity.

Today the winery remains a family-run enterprise with multiple generations involved.
