The Pinot Gris Rosenberg from Domaine Barmès Buecher is an exemplary wine that captures the essence of the renowned Alsace region. This wine, characterized by a meticulous selection of Pinot Gris grapes grown in the fertile soil of Rosenberg, stands out for its elegant structure and aromatic complexity.

In appearance, it presents a brilliant golden yellow color, a prelude to a deep and persistent bouquet. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit such as peach and pear emerge, enriched by nuances of sweet spices and a hint of honey. On the palate, the wine charms with its silky texture and a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity, concluding with a long and aromatic finish.

Ideal to serve with rich fish dishes, such as a buttered salmon fillet, or with creamy cheeses, the Pinot Gris Rosenberg is also perfect as a contemplative wine. A true Alsace treasure that solidifies Domaine Barmès Buecher's reputation as one of the prominent producers in the region.

Winery history
The estate was established by the union of the Barmès and Buecher families; its creation is linked to the founders’ marriage, and the family structure has continued through subsequent generations. Since the late 1990s the estate undertook conversion to biodynamic viticulture, a process completed with official certification in the early 2000s. Today the family’s children are actively involved in managing the vineyard and cellar.
Production philosophy
They practice biodynamic viticulture with attention to natural rhythms and the soil: manual work, biodynamic preparations, hedgerows and biodiversity in the vineyard. In the cellar a measured approach is preferred to allow the character of the terroir and the vintage to emerge clearly in the bottles. They are a member of Biodyvin and collaborate with initiatives that promote the expression of terroirs.
Terroir and vineyards
The domaine is located in Wettolsheim, a few kilometres west/southwest of Colmar and near Eguisheim, on the foothills of the Vosges. The vineyard comprises several lieux-dits and parcels on varied soils and produces wines linked to specific terroirs, including Grand Crus such as Hengst, Steingrubler and Pfersigberg; parcels include Rosenberg, Leimental and Clos Sand.
