Barolo La Morra DOCG - Crissante Alessandria is an expression of great elegance and finesse, which reflects the essence of one of the most famous terroirs of the Barolo denomination. The Crissante Alessandria winery, located in the heart of the Langhe wine region in Piedmont, is known for its dedication to quality and its ability to produce wines that embody the richness and complexity of the Nebbiolo grape, interpreted through the particular microclimate and soil of La Morra.

La Morra, one of the main production areas of Barolo, is renowned for its limestone and clay soils which give the wines a delicate tannic structure and intensely floral and fruity aromas. The Barolo La Morra DOCG by Crissante Alessandria is the result of a careful selection of Nebbiolo grapes grown in the company's best vineyards, followed by a vinification process that respects the traditions of the territory while introducing innovations to enhance the varietal characteristics.

Visually, the wine has a garnet red color typical of Barolo, tending towards orange with aging. On the nose, Barolo La Morra offers a complex and inviting aromatic bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, dried flowers, spices and a light balsamic hint. The maturation in wood adds nuances of vanilla and tobacco which further enrich the olfactory profile of the wine.

In the mouth, the wine reveals great elegance and harmony, with finely intertwined tannins and lively acidity which guarantees freshness and drinkability. The flavors reflect the olfactory notes, evolving into a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of balance and depth.

Perfect in combination with rich and tasty dishes, such as red meats, truffle-based dishes, game and mature cheeses, Barolo La Morra DOCG - Crissante Alessandria is also an excellent wine for special occasions, capable of evolving beautifully over time and offer a rich and multifaceted tasting experience.

Winery history
The estate was founded in 1958 when Crissante Alessandria, together with his wife Teresa, decided to vinify the grapes from the family vineyards, which until then had been sold to other wineries in the Langa. Over the years the property expanded its vineyards on La Morra’s best exposures; management has remained family-run and today is led by Michele Alessandria, with the involvement of his sons Alberto and Luca.
