The "Pactio" Toscana Rosso IGT, produced by the renowned Fertuna winery, is a fascinating expression of the Tuscan wine spirit. The IGT (Typical Geographical Indication) on this wine ensures that it is made from grapes grown in this specific region, famous for its fertile soils and ideal climate for viticulture.

"Pactio" means agreement or pact, and it is named as such to symbolize the relationship between man and nature as well as Fertuna winery’s commitment to responsible and quality agriculture. The blend of this wine is primarily made up of Sangiovese, with additions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The synergy of these varieties produces a wine with a solid structure, well-balanced tannins, and a long persistence on the palate.

The "Pactio" Toscana Rosso IGT has an impressive depth of color, with ruby and violet reflections that herald its olfactory complexity. On the nose, notes of ripe fruit such as plums and cherries emerge, enriched by hints of vanilla and spices, due to partial aging in oak barrels.

On the palate, the wine is rich and enveloping, with a taste balance that reflects the aromas perceived on the nose, complemented by a slight hint of chocolate and tobacco. The finish is long and elegant, with an aftertaste that invites another sip.

It is an ideal wine to accompany hearty dishes, such as grilled red meats, spicy stews, or aged cheeses. "Pactio" is also a wine for meditation, to be savored slowly to appreciate every nuance.

Serve it at a temperature of about 18°C to enhance all its organoleptic qualities. With an aging potential that makes it even more captivating over the years, the "Pactio" Toscana Rosso IGT from Fertuna is undoubtedly a prestigious choice for any collector or lover of Tuscan wines.

Winery history
The modern project of Tenuta Fertuna began in the 1990s with the planting of the vineyards in 1997; the property developed on an estate featuring an early 20th-century villa, renovated and also converted into guest accommodation. Over the years the winery has complemented its wine production with wine tourism and dining activities, integrating business management and sustainability principles.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local tradition with modern technology: plots are chosen based on soil and grape variety, winemaking is carried out plot by plot with temperature control, and aging in tonneaux/barriques. The estate declares an approach to sustainability and practices aimed at reducing its environmental impact.
